1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to make it work, remember your preferences, or understand how it is used. Some are strictly necessary; others are optional and only set with your consent. This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage.

2. How we use cookies

eSIM Sherpa uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not load optional analytics cookies until you accept them through our cookie banner. Analytics runs under Google Consent Mode with storage denied by default, so nothing is stored on your device before you choose.

3. Essential storage

Required for the website to function and to remember your consent choices. These cannot be switched off.

• Consent preferences: stores your cookie choices locally in your browser so we do not ask again on every visit.

4. Analytics cookies (optional, consent-based)

Set only if you accept "Analytics" in the cookie banner. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic, see which destination pages and providers are useful, and improve the site.

• _ga / _ga_*: Google Analytics. Used to distinguish users and sessions. Typical duration: up to 2 years.

With analytics accepted, we also record outbound clicks on provider links (which provider, plan, destination and price). This tells us what people compare. It never affects how providers are ranked.

5. Managing your preferences

You can accept, reject or change your cookie choices at any time using the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of the site. Rejecting non-essential cookies prevents analytics cookies from being set, and withdrawing consent later stops further collection. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

6. Third-party cookies

The analytics cookies described above are set by Google, and their use is governed by Google's own privacy and cookie policies. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies on this site.

When you click through to an eSIM provider, that provider (or its affiliate network) may set its own cookies on its own website to attribute the referral. Those cookies are outside our control and are covered by that provider's cookie policy.
